Q: We have a list of materials that calls for impact marker 88-OB-SO, the “How to Order” chart on page 6 of the Automatic Air Impact markers catalog does not tell me what the O at the end of the model number defines.

A: The “O” at the end of the how to order chart stood for plain body “NO” air filter for the return vent hole. All standard industrial duty 88 impact markers now come with air filters and no longer is this an option for industrial applications. Last character is an “F” now

Example:

  • 1980-2005 88-OB-EO single acting-standard position angle bracket-rod style B-End Ported plain body no filter
  • Has been replaced by
  • 2005-2012 88-OB-EF single acting-standard position-angle bracket-rod style B-End Ported with filter
