NOTES: The biggest factor noticed was the noise of Dot peening, depending on machine location in the plant, this method of marking generated very high

noise levels due to the part geometry and should be considered if noise levels are a factor. The scribe unit, although considerably quieter, deos require the

part to be firmly fixtured so as not to move during the marking cycle.
