78 Mite Mark Test Mark
The AMAZING MITE-E-MARK model 78 is the ONLY air cylinder with a 1 ¾ ” stroke that delivers over 1 ton of force.
So the reason for this test is IMPORTANT. The unsupported Catalytic Cylinder may be damaged by the impact blow required to make the mark.
Example #1 – Sample mark using dimple – made with model 78 into STEEL tube
Example #2 – Sample mark using (1) 1/16” character with model 78 on STEEL tube
Example #3 – Sample Prick punch with model 78 into Aluminum
Example #4 – Sample mark with (1) 3/16” dot-style character into Catalytic Cylinder
Character Face Note: Dot-Style character reduce the requirement for the force to mark the part by over 20%
Model: 78
Cycle Time: .4 sec
35 Psi Air Pressure – Just Right
80 psi Air Pressure – Too much
Notes:
- Dot Peen sample mark shows effect over too much pin throw – CMT can offer a solution with less impact on the first impression.
- Scirbe Mark would be the best solution for both cost and 2D code capability.
