Hot Stamp Numbering Head Question – Lubrication

Published by Marc Steele on

Q: What maintenance needs to be done on the hot stamp numbering heads?  What should they be lubricated with?

A: The CMT assembly technicians utilize Loctite brand Antizeize when they do the assembly of these units.  The Silver grade works very well and is rated for temp’s exceeding 1000 deg.  CMT typically appies this to the shaft and in between the wheels to prevent sticking and corrosion that is commonly associated with the constant heating and cooling of these tools.  I have included a link to the product and please let us know if you have any other questions!
