Mite-E-Mark Sensor

Q: The sensor information for the Model 78 – E style says it is a M12 3pin but it doesn’t show how to wire the pins. Industrial standard is +24 on pin 1, 0 vdc on pin 3, and signal on pin 4. Is that how your switch is as well? Also it just says the signal is when “marking process is completed.” What does that really mean? Is the signal on when the punch is retracted? Is it on when the punch is extended into the part? Is the signal on all the time or does it pulse when the marking process is completed?

Eurofast: Small metric (M12 x 1 thread)10 volt/ 65 voltDC4 pin, 3 wire, normally open (+, pnp sourcing) Used in -E option of Model 78 Mite-E-Mark or -D of other air impact markers and hot stamping systems.

A: This is PNP sourcing sensor, in the retracted position it will be on.

Pin details – also shown on diagram on the switch –

1- brown = +24v

3- blue = 0 vdc

4 – black = pnp – signal
